What’s your role: Accounts Payable – Receivable Specialist II
How long have you been employed at Greystone Technology: Over 6 years
What made you initially want to work here, and what makes you want to stay:
“My best friend worked here at the time, and he let me know there was a position open. I was looking for a more stable career path as I had primarily been in retail roles up that point, and this seemed like a good opportunity to do that. I stay because I am always given opportunities to grow and learn and progress in my career!”
Tell us about a time when you worked hard to understand a client’s unique needs and went above and beyond their expectations:
“This is a bit unique for me because of my role in accounting I am not necessarily involved in delivering IT services to our clients but I think this is a good example. Over the pandemic, many businesses had sudden and abrupt losses in revenue which led to some businesses understandably getting a bit behind on bills. During this time as a part of the accounting team I had to work with clients that had disruptions to their business and figure out a solution that would work for everyone. Instead of coming in harshly and demanding payment I worked with them to first empathize and understand where they were at and then to come up with a plan that met the needs of everyone involved. Today they have recovered from the time when their business was down and we have a fantastic relationship with them!”
What’s the most rewarding part of your job:
“I am always learning something new about the world of accounting, and there are always new challenges to tackle!”

What are some of your hobbies outside of work:
“I love traveling, and going on long walks with my husband, exploring new places, hiking, running. I love a good craft brew!”
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself:
I went to Las Vegas over 20 times with my family growing up so I am a bit of a Vegas expert!
