This month meet Danny Craig, Lead Client Success Manager.

Name: Danny

What’s your role: Client Success Manager

How long have you been employed at Greystone Technology: A little over 2 years.

What made you initially want to work here, and what makes you want to stay: I applied for a different position about 2 years prior to getting the role I am currently in. I had several interviews but ultimately did not end up getting the first job I interviewed for. That being said I really connected with my interviewers and connected with Greystone’s culture, it was a business full of low egos focused on doing good work. So I kept getting coffee with Sarah the hiring manager and two years later a position opened up and they brought me in! What I love about Greystone is that they hire smart people and they let them do their thing, I love the directed autonomy I have here and the people I get to collaborate and work with are just awesome.

Tell us about a time when you worked hard to understand a client’s unique needs and went above and beyond their expectations: A client of ours was growing rapidly and acquiring different companies at a rapid rate. This led to us having an overflow of projects to support that growth. Compounding all this was the fact that we were not getting the traction we needed with the c suite because they were ultimately too busy to be closely involved with the details. Recognizing that we were not getting the results we wanted I suggested to the team that we needed to regroup and pan out and pull focus. This led to us finding a different contact to work with which resulted in the successful completion of those projects. The lesson I learned is that we were trying to earn influence with the wrong people and by pausing and regrouping we were able to connect with the right party and get the details we needed.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job: As cliché as it is to say it’s the people. Working with people who challenge you professionally and personally to grow while still making me laugh is unique and I enjoy being able to do good and meaningful work for our clients and help them embrace technology.

When you think of Greystone’s culture, what 3 words come to mind:  Rugged, durable, and genuine.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work: baseball, playing guitar and the mandolin, skiing, mountain biking, climbing outdoors, you know the typical Colorado package.

Tell us one interesting fact about yourself: I am fluent in pig latin, and I can say super cala fragilistic expialidocious backward. I also bet you just tried to say that yourself, it’s hard to do right?
