Fostering Culture in a Hybrid World
Okay we will just come out and say it, we are still figuring out the best way to do hybrid work, and we probably aren’t alone in that! Many companies are trying to navigate a post-pandemic workplace. For some that means going completely remote, for others that is a full return to the office. For ourselves here at Greystone we have found the hybrid approach to work best. We love the freedom and flexibility that hybrid work offers people as these are two concepts that we have always embraced and encouraged for the people working here. That being said, we are still ironing out some of the details.
One of the toughest parts of hybrid work for us to overcome has been figuring out how to maintain our culture. We know that “culture” is a bit of a buzz word that companies throw around, but you will just have to take our word (and the seven top workplace awards we have won) that we very much so focus on making working here as enjoyable as possible. As part of that we have always tried to encourage people to have conversations around the office, or even a nerf gun battle from time to time.
But without people coming in office every day we have to be very intentional about carving out time to just hang out together. The photos below are a result of that, and while we are still figuring this all out, we are proud of the fact that we have continued to maintain a great culture in the face of all this change.
