This month meet Tyler Vaughn, Technical Implementation Consultant.

Name: Tyler Vaughn

What’s your role: Technical Implementation Consultant for Professional Services

How long have you been employed at Greystone Technology: 2 years

What made you initially want to work here, and what makes you want to stay: Initially I was not very aware of Greystone’s amazing culture when I first applied. At the time I needed a job and was applying to a variety of companies. After several interviews, it was clear that Greystone recognized the value of my skills and abilities and offered me the benefits and compensation that I was looking for.

Now that I have been here for 2 years I can say that hands down one of the biggest factors that makes me stay and enjoy my job is the culture and the people. The people I work with are awesome and I can honestly say that I have made genuine friends here. Additionally, the culture here offers me opportunities to grow professionally both in my interactions with co-workers and clients, as well as my skills and abilities.

Tell us about a time when you worked hard to understand a client’s unique needs and went above and beyond their expectations: Not too long after I started here I had a project get assigned to me for a client that was extremely nervous about doing this project. The project, migrating their data into office 365, had been botched by the provider previous to Greystone. I was able to come into the situation and empathize with the pain they had experienced with this prior effort. The result was that I gained a true understanding of the clients’ needs and our migration went off without a hitch. Two years later I still have an amazing relationship with that client.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job: The impact I can make on others. The most rewarding thing I can do is to remove the fear around technology. A lot of people have had negative experiences with technology, and I love it when I am able to come into that kind of situation and change their outlook.

When you think of Greystone’s culture, what 3 words come to mind:   Team, Professional, and Authentic. One of the things I love about the culture here is that we have a good mix of professionalism with authenticity.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work: Motocross, BMX, music, mixology, finding a great new restaurant to try with friends.
Tell us one interesting fact about yourself: I love Disneyland with a passion burgeoning on obsession!
